So, How many lumens should be better for downlight?
Ideal you want the lowest watts and the highest lumens. But in practical applications, the minimum should be aimed at these days is 50 lumens per watt. But the U.S. Department of Energy on Monday proposed raising minimum energy efficiency standards for the most common light bulbs to require them to produce more than 120 lumens/watt, up from a 45 lumens/watt standard today.
